This happened a few months ago and I just happened to see it mentioned on another blog. I’m not offering my opinion one way or another on this but she had some legitimate arguments for refusing to go … and not the typical “I’m against the war” arguments.” The type of assignment they were sending her [...]

Just came across an interesting article on CNN about blogging. Here’s a quote from the article which does ring true, in my opinion.
“Blogging can create an instant support system, especially at a time when you might not have the energy or resources to seek out people who’ve shared your experiences,” says Mason
Here’s another quote which I [...]

Okay all you ladies out there - fess up - you were New Kids On The Block fans back in the late 80’s through early 90’s. I know me and my high school group of friends were. We lived and breathed for NKOTB back in the day. Ahhh - the memories of screaming like wild banchies and worshiping [...]

On MSNBC this morning, there is a banner across the top of the website that says “Breaking News: President Bush says the economy is obviously going through a tough time.”
Really, no sh*t. What a surprise! Tell me something I don’t know.

Interesting article on MSNBC today. I think this is what many of us have been saying for quite some time now. Only a very small percentage of people in this country are actually aware of what’s going on with the global war on terrorism (GWOT) or even pay attention to any media regarding same.
My only [...]

From what I’ve read, efforts are getting held up because of cost concerns. But I say this: surely we can eliminate [...]

I was wondering what to write about today when I was browsing MSNBC looking at various headlines and came upon the following article. All I can say is “are you kidding me?” Could she possibly find another way to suck the fun out of Christmas shows? I’m not going to address everything in the article [...]

Anyone who knows me or has read a bit of this blog knows that I LOVE my dogs. I do. They are my babies and I spoil them pretty well, I think. Or at least, I thought I did. Apparently, I could be doing far more for my precious wild beasts such as buying them [...]

A co-worker forwarded the following story to a few of us today and I am seldom left speechless by something but this did it. Now, I’ve got some words to say. It’s a story about a Saudi Arabian man who advises Saudi men on how to treat their wives and beating is completely acceptable as [...]

Have to quit wallowing now and talk about the wildfires in Southern California. I lived in San Diego for 2 years so I’m watching the news of the fires unfold very anxiously. I still have friends that live there with whom I stay in touch so I’m praying that everyone makes it through this horrible situation ok. I have [...]
