Adventures of a naughty dog

So I made a new mac and cheese recipe from the local paper last night to accompany some grilled pork chops for dinner and it turned out really good.   Obi-Wan and I really enjoyed it and I had a lot leftover b/c I had used a 1/2 box of pasta to make it.  I decided I would take it up to MD this weekend since we are visiting my family and was planning on having that as a side item with whatever my mom makes for dinner tomorrow night.

Yellow Dog had other plans, however, for the mac and cheese.  I left it in a tupperware to cool on the counter for awhile before I put it away.  Obi-Wan and I went upstairs for awhile and when he came back down, the container was licked clean and on the floor.  That devil dog ate a substantial portion of the mac.  We were both so mad b/c a) counter-surfing is a big no no for her; and b) it was really tasty!  We were looking forward to having more this weekend.  Not to mention but she’s already a big dog (100 lbs of pure puppy fun) and doesn’t need to be pounding down the mac.

Note to self - NEVER EVER LEAVE ANYTHING ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER.  It doesn’t matter how tired Yellow Dog looks or how uninterested in the kitchen she may appear at a given moment, she will find a way to counter-surf and see if there is anything worth her efforts.  I take full responsibility for her naughty behavior.  I usually don’t leave so much as a crumb on the counter b/c I know how she operates.  But when we went upstairs, she was passed out on the living room floor and didn’t appear to be planning any covert kitchen ops.  Never trust a sleeping Yellow Dog.  She will always find a way!
