Is she serious?
I was wondering what to write about today when I was browsing MSNBC looking at various headlines and came upon the following article. All I can say is “are you kidding me?” Could she possibly find another way to suck the fun out of Christmas shows? I’m not going to address everything in the article b/c that would take forever. I’ll merely say that if you are going to sit down and analyze innocent Christmas cartoons like “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” for troubling social messages being passed onto kids, you need to perhaps find something better to occupy your time. It’s great to analyze some things and I’m a big analyzer of just about everything. But for pete’s sake, leave Christmas and other holiday cartoons out of it. If that’s the case, than every cartoon ever created is probably in some sinister malicious way sending out lots of troubling social messages that could hurt innocent kids everywhere. Puhlease! Let’s enjoy the cartoons for what they are … just sweet fun and entertainment.
That’s my two cents on the matter.

Just read the article. Sarcasm must be playing a part here. If not……well, she’s got issues.
My kids have been enjoying all kinds of holiday specials over the past few weeks. I even let them stay up a bit past their bedtimes to watch.

I wrote this article. And no, I’m not serious. Your commenter is correct: The piece is a satire. I wish you a very merry Christmas, and a happy and prosperous 2008.
